Abstract
Two novel classes of band-reject filters capable of realizing broad upper pass bandwidth are presented in this paper. The filters comprise band-reject network sections that are each made of a fully coupled pair of asymmetrical stepped-impedance resonators. Several filter prototypes were designed and fabricated for a fundamental stopband centered at 0.5 GHz demonstrating extended upper pass bandwidth.
