Abstract
p53 is a paramount protein in cancer studies. p53-Mdm2 interaction is the core regulation for most activities of p53 protein-related networks. In this paper a new mathematical model is proposed to reveal the mechanisms existing in this core regulation. This model is mainly based on the recent biological findings, as well as few reasonable hypotheses and approximations. The performance is in good accord with the experimental phenomenon in the literature. And a new threshold mechanism is also discussed, which gives more insights for experimental design and validation.
