Abstract
The paper reports on the reasoning of fuzzy semantics in collaborative processes, including groupware, workflow and CSCW software tools, as a fuzzy label relaxation process. A prototype Web based system is being implemented. In label relaxation, not only will new evidence update the fuzzy measures of a collection of propositions, but also the constraint satisfaction among those propositions in distributed cognitive maps will revise the measures. This mechanism is somewhat similar to human group behavior, which is an evolutive process converging to the most satisfactory result
