  • Abstract
    A packet data communication (PDC) system merged in a TDMA digital cellular network has been developed. PDC mobile packet data communication system (PDC-P) enables PDC users to send and receive packet data in the connectionless environment of multimedia mobile communications. The main features of PDC-P are high throughput of user packet data, flexibility for service demands and linkage of voice services. This paper describes the proposed functions, architecture, and signaling for the PDC-P network. Also, new techniques for radio transmission control and network routing control are discussed here
