  • Abstract
This paper presents results on numerical simulation of ceramic, multilayer capacitors (CMC) using the finite difference time domain (FDTD) technique. An efficient approach is demonstrated in which the CMC is represented within the FDTD grid by a combination of transmission lines and lumped elements. Two methods of compensating for the induced numerical parasitics are shown.
