Abstract
A description is given of the Advanced Multimedia Information Distribution System (AMIDS), which will provide high-capacity, secure, low-probability-of-detection/intercept (LPD/LPI), and interoperable communications technologies and services for distributed/dispersed systems. The AMIDS program is also developing communications services that allow dispersed personnel to communicate with each other as if they were located in the same room. The system is intended for future US Air Force command and control
