Abstract

This paper presents Alcatel´s `middleware´ platform Mu3S, which stands for multi-service multi-network multi-terminal service framework. Mu3S is a middleware platform for integrating heterogeneous networks and services, based on state-of-the-art concepts and technologies, such as TINA, CORBA, Java, C++, IP, ATM, ADSL, etc. Three generations of prototypes and numerous iterations of the specifications within the context of both TINA and European funded projects resulted in the current platform
