  • Abstract
The Space Dynamics Laboratory at Utah State University (SDL/USU) performed the ground characterization of the IR sensors on the Miniature Sensor Technology Integration (MSTI-3) payload. The general radiometric performance of the sensor was measured along with predicted on-orbit sensor parameters. This characterization was guided by the requirements of the mission, capabilities of the sensor, cost and schedule constraints, and available testing facilities. This paper describes SDL/USU´s cryogenic optical test and data handling facilities used in the characterization of the MSTI-3 payload. The general test philosophy and test plan are given, as well as an overview of tests performed and selected preliminary test results
