  • Abstract
Mercury is a kind of material which is widely used, but has huge toxicity, its harm to environment has attracted people´s attention widely. The article studies the possibility of using phyllosilicate to stabilize Hg in soil by discussing the existing form of Hg in soil, the absorption theory of phyllosilicate to Hg, and also the absorption experiment of phyllosilicate to Hg, The residues metal that combined with the aluminosilicate crystal lattice in soil is in a state that hard to transit. The structure of phyllosilicate is advantageous to absorb the three forms of Hg. And the experiment has also proved that the absorption capacity of phyllosilicate to Hg is high, the absorption reaction is rapid. Using phyllosilicate as the fixed-stabilization agent of Hg in soil is feasible.
