Abstract
A VHF/UHF signal analysis receiver that is designed to interface with a digital signal processing system is described. The receiver utilizes a triple-conversion superheterodyne that provides minimum distortion in a low-risk architecture. Tuning, filtering, demodulation, output data buffering, and receiver control are all performed digitally. The receiver provides extremely accurate reproduction of the incoming signal, with minimal distortion introduced by the receiver itself
