Research on the college English autonomous learning in the context of multimedia computer technology

This paper is to employ the multimedia technology to support the college English learners´ autonomous learning. In this paper, great attention has been given to students´ awareness and attitude towards autonomous learning in the context of computer-based multimedia college English teaching at Henan University of Urban Construction of China by adopting a survey method. The experimental result shows that integrating multimedia technology into College English Teaching and learning has become one of the efficient ways of improving students´ abilities. With the help of the multimedia technology college English learners´ autonomous learning is gradually breaking the traditional pattern of teaching and learning mode.
