Abstract
Significant differences of Cd accumulation in root exist among radish genotypes. In this study, the genetic diversity was investigated with DNA-based markers in radish. Based on the UPGMA analysis, the 32 accessions were clustered into two groups, the group I mainly comprised Chinese cultivars, while the group II consisted of six accessions from abroad. The cultivars in group I could be divided into three sub-groups corresponding with white, red and green root color, respectively. The results indicated that the abundant genetic diversity exist among the cultivated radish germplasms with the different characteristics of Cd uptake and accumulation, and the similar root color and Cd accumulation characteristic appeared to be closely related in radish.
