  • Abstract
A self-designed MBR was added the photo catalyst TiO2 which was immobilized on polyurethane foam (PF) cubes to make a pMBR. The PF cubes can suspend and circulate in the MBR. The photo degradation of dyeing wastewater was optimized by evaluating the effects of different factors, such as, COD, BOD5 concentration, carrier dosage and its microorganisms. The result showed that the photo catalytic oxidation zone in MBR tank was playing a main role in removing the pollutions and the COD, BOD5 and color removal efficiency was high to 95%, 90% and 95% in pMBR, respectively. Microorganisms in the MBR were also studies, which showed a good growth. The monitoring result indicated that the effluent quality of the MBR was better than the water quality standard for miscellaneous water consumption and scenic environment use (GB/T 18921-2002), and the effluent could be totally used for irrigation.
