Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to present an application model which can be used in a supply chain, to assess the changes taking place in organizations that are implementing lean strategies. To assess changes towards leaner organizations, the determinants on the use of indicators to assess companypsilas improvements are identified and discussed. The model considers indicators that have been designed and imbedded in the organization information system and they derived from three components: the design, control and improvement management of the production system. These components are the foundation for the development of an integrated checklist for self-evaluation of the lean supply chain performance.
