Abstract
During the three-phase inverting process, the dead-time effect is the main factor restricting the inverter from commutating safely. One of the most important techniques for the development of inverter is how to eliminate the dead-time effect during inverting. In this paper, the dead-time effect during the commutating process of the matrix inverter is analyzed, as well as the reason that the non-ideal characteristic of switch device distorts the output voltage of inverter. In addition, a dead-time strategy based SVPWM is proposed. By correcting the space vector and zero vectors, the dead-time effect is compensated. The simulation result shows that the output waveform sine degree of the inverter is improved, which verifies the correctness of the theory and the effectiveness of the compensation.
