Abstract
The dosimetrical characteristics of the new Czechoslovak neutron Si diodes LBSD (long base silicon diode) are described. These diodes have been developed and now they are produced in two versions: Si-1, the standard type, has the tissue kerma-response to 252Cf neutrons of about 0.15 mV/mGy for a normal mode of evaluation. Si-2 type is more sensitive with response of about 1.2 mV/mGy. The results of the LBSD relative sensitivity measurements on the various sources of radiation are presented. Also the new possibilities in utilization of LBSD are sketched: the neutron measurement on cosmic vehicles and high dose dosimetry studies for particle accelerators
