Abstract
We tried to generate the perception of steady velocity field with the cyclic display of multi-phase images of correlated random dots; we found that increasing the number of phases, for instance equal or more than 5 phases, the perception of steady velocity field can be obtained clearly. In addition, we investigated the effect of the temporal duration of display and the positional deviation of random dots between each correlated images on the perception of velocity field; then, we found that there is suitable range of them in which clearer velocity field could be perceived.
