Novel scheme for proton and heavy-ion accelerators

Proton and heavy ion accelerators of the medium energy are very important in science and technology, firstly in medicine, in the field of nuclear waste elimination and in the creation of safe subcritical reactors. Their use will help cure cancer, develop nuclear safety and protect the environment. Unfortunately the large size of the accelerators, that could be about 1 km in length and the high cost, about 1 billion and more, gives limitations to wide applications. Society understands the importance of all the problems listed above and we are able to create and develop a new solution in the field of accelerator design. We have developed a conceptual design for high-gradient linear proton and heavy ion medium energy accelerators, based on new physical principles.
