  • Abstract
    Current efforts in simulation as well as in field measurements of vehicular communication systems have identified that the detailed consideration of communication properties on the lower layers is crucial to achieve correct results. Due to this fact we present an extension of our existing simulation runtime infrastructure to support sophisticated simulation models for the Physical Layer and the radio channel. We show that the simulation in larger scale will directly benefit from this communication models which are based on measurement campaigns in according environments. Finally we present a simulation study where the results will be different compared to established communication models, yet should be regarded as more realistic.
