Abstract
The paper describes the achievements and trend in research and development in Japan related to power system connections of a large number of distributed generation (DG). The major results from some of the R&D projects related to power system connections of PV or wind power generations are presented. In addition, current research activities for new technologies for distributing and managing power in power systems with a large number of DG are introduced.
