  • Abstract
    Based on the thermal analysis of laser brazing CBN on the gear-honing-tool, the numerical simulation about thermal deformation on tooth profile has been implemented in the paper. During the laser brazing, the deformation mechanism on the tooth profile of gear-honing-tool from addendum to dedendum meets to buckling mechanism, upsetting mechanism and temperature gradient mechanism in turn. The tooth thickness becomes thicker from dedendum circle to reference circle areas, and the tooth thickness becomes thinner from addendum circle to reference circle areas after brazing. The more near the tooth end is, the greater the deformation is, and there is bending deformation along the tooth width direction. The 3024B equipment of tooth profile and tooth direction measurement is used in measuring tooth profile of gear-honing-tool. It is shown in the measurement results that the deformation on tooth profile is symmetrical along the centre plane of tooth thickness. Generally, the accuracy of gear-honing-tool is up to the precision mustard, and the measurement results are approximately in accordance with the numerical simulation results.
