  • Abstract
A new spectrum analysis trigger algorithm-Digital-phosphor trigger used for transient signals capturing is introduced. Digital-phosphor trigger is the extension of Digital-phosphor display algorithm, firstly recording the spectrum situations of signals over a period of time by dynamic Digital-phosphor picture, and then using the three-dimensional information consisted of signals-frequency, power and Digital-phosphor displaying density as the trigging masks to trig and capture signals. Digital-phosphor trigger algorithm won´t be limited by the trigging masks form like one dimensional or two dimensional trigger algorithm. By the practical engineering verification based on FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array), when system´s AD sampling frequency reaches 51.2MHz and FPGA global clock reaches 204.8MHz, Digital-phosphor trigger can precisely trig and capture any transient signals with duration ≥40us, which performs better than existing trigger algorithms. With the promotion of system configurations, Digital-phosphor trigger can trig and capture transient signals with shorter duration.
