Abstract
Synchronization of a multichannel TDMA/FDMA burst system is studied. We introduce two types of low complexity interference-mitigation solutions: the "channelized" expectation maximization algorithm and the "channelized" interference cancellation of adjacent channels. The results show that the proposed low complexity algorithms provide significant improvement in synchronization performance, which attains the potential gain in performance of multichannel processing.
