Abstract
A PC-based on-line system for inspecting impurities in ampoules is presented. To enhance the contrast of the background and the foreign substance in ampoule, a reflective lighting method which illuminates in side direction is designed in a vision system. To extract the trajectory of small target with interference of a complex background, a two-stage frame differencing method based on sub-pixel registration of image sequences is studied in this paper. Experiment results show that this on-line machine vision system can inspect the foreign substances effectively, and the inspection speed, the accuracy and the number of broken bottles can meet the requirement on medicine production.
