Abstract
This paper presents the architecture and the knowledge/action representation language of a support environment for distributed problem solving. The paper addresses both the definitional/preparatory (i.e. articulation work) phase and the actual problem-solving (i.e. substantive work) phase of a complex system. The architecture unifies these problem-solving phases in a dynamic way under a new paradigm for distributed problem solving
