  • Abstract
    Reaction sequence of perovskite-phase formation crystallographic properties in the PFW-PFN system are reported. Investigation is focused on the formation of perovskite phase by a “B-site precursor method.” B-site precursors were formed directly from the constituent oxides or through a competition with a pyrochlore-related phase, while perovskite phases were developed through a competition with pyrochlores. Lattice parameters of PFW and PFN were 3.985 and 4.016 Å, respectively
