Abstract
We apply the guiding center theory and show that the larger dispersion variation leads the larger peak power in a pulse and the reduced nonlinear interaction between pulses. The nonlinear interaction between pulses can be understood through the soliton property of the core. This shows that the nonlinear interactions between pulses is reduced when the dispersion variation of fibers increases with a fixed pulse width
