Abstract
From its inception in 1999 to its tenth anniversary in 2008, the Web site evolution (WSE) series of events have provided a forum for researchers and practitioners to present original work on subjects related to the disciplined evolution of large-scale Web sites. This paper summarizes the activities of WSE during the last five years (2003- 2008). The paper also discusses the need for continued enhancements to the education of future ldquorenaissance software engineersrdquo to work effectively in the area. Some of the research challenges for the next few years are also outlined.
