Abstract
The magnetization and magnetic measurement of multi-pole high coercivity permanent magnet rotors has become increasingly difficult as the coercivity of the magnetic materials has increased. The increase in the number of magnetic poles and the required accuracy of magnetic pole placement has also contributed to the magnetization and measurement problem. Here, the author describes the factors which therefore require consideration in the design and manufacturing of magnetizing fixtures for multi-pole permanent magnet rotors
