Abstract
This paper presents one aspect of the influence that may have a higher voltage power line on a lower voltage line at the crossing point: the enhancement of the electric field intensity on the conductor surface due to the induced electric charge. The evaluation of the conductor surface gradient can be made by solving numerically a Fredholm equation of second type for the unknown function that describes the distribution of the induced electric charge. There are presented the computational results in different cases regarding the crossing angles. The paper points out the effect of the increase of the conductor gradient upon the radio interference field of the over crossed power line.
