  • Abstract
The use of aerobic granules in wastewater treatment can reduce the land area that is needed for the treatment of sewage. Until now granulation has been mainly studied using artificial wastewater. The possibility of forming aerobic granules on domestic sewage in a sequencing batch reactor was studied on three experimental stages. By controlling organic loading of influent and surface air upflow velocity, settling time as well. After 5 week of operation, aerobic granular have been seen. Until 14 week sludge has been granulation in SBR. The matured aerobic granular sludge has an average diameter of 0.63-1.6 mm, wet density 1.0173g/cm3, SVI 50, and MLSS 3. 5 g/L in reactor.
