Abstract
Multibeam laser triangulation allows measuring different object regions simultaneously with short measuring times and a high dynamic range. This paper describes the methodological approach of multibeam laser triangulation, online measuring systems based on this concept and various industrial applications. For multibeam laser triangulation up to more than 120 laser beams are used to simultaneously measure geometric features of moving products such as e.g. the thickness, profile or surface topology.
