Abstract
This paper will describe the SMART Center (Safe Maintenance in Aviation Resource Training Center) developed for the FAA Office of Aviation Medicine to teach human factors concepts to aviation maintenance personnel. The intent of this paper is to illustrate possibilities of training through a virtual campus. The issues that one must consider when implementing such a facility will be highlighted, as will be the advantages to taking such an approach
