Abstract
Support of aging and cerebral disease patients is a very useful research theme. We have advanced a study, by focusing on special vascular dementia, for possible prevention and treatment. It is shown that frontal lobe dysfunction because of vascular dementia is a subcortical dementia, and executive dysfunction is remarkable. This executive function deeply involves working memory that develops the simultaneous storage and processing of information. So this time, we are focusing on working memory, and examine processing performance consumption on each recognition process. The experiment carried out a recognition test using a dual-task method. As a result, we understood that processing performance consumption for face recognition was larger than for any other recognition.
