Abstract
A new approach to adaptive beamforming is proposed which has superior performance to the conventional methods for cases where the desired and the interference signals are highly correlated. Such a scenario is typical of the multipath and co-channel interference problems encountered in mobile communications. It is shown that the new approach can be used to separate the correlated signals received by an array of elements
