Abstract
The resolution performance of various complementary coded radar waveforms is characterized. Numerical results on peak sidelobe level ratio (PSLR) and integrated sidelobe level ratio (ISLR) are presented, and a comparison is made. It is concluded that complementary coded sets result in better overall PSLR and ISLR performance than complementary coded pairs in the presence of target fluctuation. Therefore, the use of complementary code sets should be preferred over the use of complementary code pairs. Increasing the number of subsequences with a corresponding reduction in the number of chips per subsequence is shown to improve the resolution performance
