Abstract
The results of a study under stationary fog on Room Temperature Vulcanizing (RTV) silicone rubber coated Fibreglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) rods are reported. Uncoated FRP rod specimens were also tested in order to compare them with RTV coated FRP rods. The leakage current, contact angle measurements and the mechanisms affecting the aging of the coating are reported and discussed
