Abstract
The exact eigenfunction solution is obtained for the two-dimensional problem of the scattering of a plane electromagnetic wave by a slotted semielliptical channel in an infinite ground plane. Specifically, the canonical solution is found for the boundary-value problem of a semielliptical channel in a ground plane, slotted along the interfocal distance.<>
