Abstract
Complex system such as an infrared search and track (IRST) needs systematic and accurate analytical tools for their design and for their computation of system performance. This paper presents the object-oriented approach in the design, development and simulation of an IRST system through the use of C++ classes. The classes model the end-to-end infrared sensor system from the target to the display unit. A graphical user interface allows the users to change system parameters and validate the optimum overall system performance
