Research on software evolution processes in Asia

The importance and popularity of software evolution increase as more and more successful software systems become legacy systems. Therefore, the software evolution process, the inter-discipline of software process and software evolution, becomes a key area in software engineering. The software evolution process study has aroused great attention in Asia and gradually became the popular research area, even though the beginning of this research is latter than the other area. In this paper, the author outlines some representative contributions achieved by some Asian researchers aiming to demonstrate the progress.
