  • Abstract
Power dissipation calculations for an infinite array of vertically polarized notch elements from the measurement of a 16-element-pair waveguide simulator are presented. Characterization of the element-pair unit cell results in an asymmetrical, unbalanced active scattering matrix. Concatenation of this scattering matrix with the power divider in the even-odd mode representation allows the power fraction to be calculated at a given scan angle and frequency. Characterization of the 16-element-pair simulator was performed for 256 discrete frequencies, from 4 to 18 GHz.<>
