Abstract
Oscillator phase noise in two different working regimes is addressed with the accent on their operating points (OPs). The first regime is a distinctly non-linear regime A, with a higher open loop gain and lower noise sensitivity. The second regime B is less non-linear, with a lower open loop gain and higher linearity level. Regime A has shown disagreement with the phase noise theory because of the high non-linearity that has resulted in OP change.
