Abstract
A passive LC load method, to be used instead of the IEC TC82 standard capacitive method, is proposed. It allows to obtain by a single sweep the voltage-to-current characteristic i(u) of a photovoltaic generator (PVG), lying in the 11nd, 1st and IVth quadrant of the u,i plane. In this paper, the author describes the circuit operation principle. He also shows how to perform, within an arbitrary accuracy, an approximating analytical study of the circuit behavior for any PVG characteristic, leading to the design data of the LC load, which encompassed the required voltage range in an independently given sweep time
