  • Abstract
This paper describes a monitoring system of the accoutrement grinding based on multi sensors and aims at machining some super rigid materials such as ruby, sapphire and diamond. This method, with the help of the style of an accouterment, ascertains the shape and pose of an accouterment in machining, and a smart grinding force sensor is made up; the poses are detected by multi optical grating sensors; the style and facets are viewed by image sensors. Because of the diversity of the diamond quality and the crystal main direction angle related to a grinded facade, a strategy is adapted to control the feeding of grinding, that is, the feeding of grinding is restricted by the temperature, area of a forced facade, and grinding force.
