  • Abstract
In the present paper, the field emission properties of mixture of carbon nanotubes, ZnO tetrapods and conductive particles is discussed. To improve the field-emission further, a field-emission cathode with special edge structure is proposed in this paper. In Figure 1, the silver cathode electrode is first coated on a glass substrate. Then, carbon nanotubes are deposited on the cathode electrode as field emitters. To enhance the edge field-emission, a special edge structure is used. To analyse the enhancement of field-emission performance by the ZnO tetrapods and conductive particles, the electron trajectories in different field-emission diode structures are compared.
