  • Abstract
Plasma-assisted slow-wave oscillators (pasotrons) are unique sources of microwave radiation that operate in the absence of guiding external magnetic fields. From the practical point of view, these lightweight devices are very attractive for airborne applications. These devices are also very rich in physical effects important for their operation. Just these effects are considered in the present paper that overviews results of recent theoretical and. experimental studies of pasotrons.
