  • Abstract
The introduction of GeoRester management mechanism of raster data makes vector data, raster data and attribute data can be stored and managed synthetically. But simultaneously also the safety problem of the raster data is transferred to the database fields. This paper investigates raster data´s storage and management mechanisms of Oracle 10g spatial, including data model, physical storage structure, data block and pyramid strategy. On this basis, presents a method to protect raster data in spatial database using data encryption package DBMS_CRYPTO. The method can implement block-based local image encryption, not only can protect confidential data, and can take into account the overall encryption performance.
