Abstract
This paper presents the concepts for a novel locational reliability indices in electric power systems. The loss of peak load probability at every bus in the system is computed using the concept of commons and domains which determine the contribution of various generators to serving the load at a bus. A conceptual isolated load bus is formulated and the classical concepts of LOLP are extended to determine the locational reliability indices. It is observed that the reliability of electricity supply at a particular bus cannot be freely chosen and it can only be improved up to a certain extent.
