The study of coordinated development on urban edges´ residential environment — On the evolution of the industrial zone and its influence to human settlement

This thesis studies on the evolution of industrial areas in Yantai, and subsequently its influence on the residential environment during the period of urbanization. The manufacturing district is changing to multi-function area including industrial, residential and commercial districts. Discussing the development of the residential environment in this period, this article explores methods suitable for the residential areas in industrial zone during the process of urbanization.
