Abstract
This paper presents a dead-time compensation strategy for permanent magnet synchronous motor drive taking zero current clamp and parasitic capacitor effects into account. A correction algorithm for false detection of current polarity due to zero current clamp is proposed. In addition, effect of parasitic capacitor of switching device is investigated and incorporated in dead-time compensation strategy. Experimental results demonstrates the validity of the proposed method.
